When it comes to the climate crisis, we always seem to think: ‘Things will work out all right in the end’. But everything indicates that it’s not going to be easy and we’re leaving the real problems for the next generations.

After Us The Deluge - Kadir van Lohuizen

In After Us the Deluge, photographer Kadir van Lohuizen shows the impact of rising sea levels on communities around the globe. Kadir travelled to Greenland, USA, Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Panama and the Pacific, where he captured the threat and havoc caused by global warming.

The result is both a period piece and photo book, as disturbing as it is aesthetically impressive. The 288 page book is richly illustrated with maps and infographics and contains journalistic and scientific contributions from Henk Ovink, Dorthe Dahl-Jensen, Jeff Goodell, Elliot Brown, Amalinda Savirani, Anote Tong, Sharif Jamil and Marjan Minnesma.

Next to the design, K&H played a central role in the edit of the images and the research and design of all maps and infographics in this special publication.
