The future has already become reality, if not passé.

On the move – Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

The exhibition ‘On the Move’ at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam focused on recent developments in photography displaying the myriad ways in which photographers build their narratives in dialogue with graphic designers. The photo book is a classic but still very relevant way of telling stories through photographs but photographers are increasingly exploring new ways of storytelling. Apps, audiovisual installations, and websites present opportunities for less linear forms of narrative.

The exhibition combined a dynamic range of projects in a wide variety of media. K&H developed a dynamic design that playfully visualizes the different angles a storyteller can choose. The exhibition catalogue had an equally lightweight production, making it easy to distribute in high volumes in order to reach the young audience the Stedelijk had particularly targeted for this exhibition.
