For the Global Center on Adaptation, an organization striving for a climate-proof future, working in a carbon-neutral and self-sufficient floating office sounds like the dream. It became reality for GCA at the beginning of September, when their brand new floating headquarters were festively opened in Rotterdam.
To underline the urgency and climate solutions GCA has in mind, the organization asked K&H to co-curate and design an interactive, educational installation inside the office-space. The result is ‘Building Resilience’, a compact, but engaging permanent exhibition, consisting of photography by Kadir van Lohuizen, Supratim Bhattacharjee and Cynthia van Elk and touchscreens which give acces to climate adaption cases from around the globe. The combined stories in this exhibit form the raison d’être of the Global Center on Adaptation, showing us the necessity of GCA’s mission to accelerate action now.
